Barbara Ann (Kolwicz) Malicki
Age 83, formerly of Natrona Heights, passed away Friday, July 16, 2021, at the Allegheny Valley Hospital Emergency Room, Natrona Heights. She was born on April 11, 1938 in Natrona Heights and was the daughter of the late Michael and Josephine (Nyga) Kolwicz. Barb was a graduate of Har-Brack High School Class of 1956. When Barb was a young girl, she always dreamed of someday working at Disneyland. For 20 years, she was an assistant buyer for the Walt Disney World Company at the Disneyland Distribution merchandising center. Barb and her late husband, John "Sarge", moved to California in 1961 and lived in Cerritos, California for 32 years before returning to Natrona Heights in 1993. Barb recently moved to an apartment in Tarentum. She and Sarge enjoyed driving to many places, especially Walt Disney World. This past February, she and her niece, Robin, enjoyed another trip to Disney in Florida together. Barb also loved traveling with her sisters. Barb was a Disney Vacation Club member and a platinum Disney Castaway Club cruise member. Barb and Sarge cherished their time spent decorating their Christmas train display at their home, an annual tradition. She was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, Saint Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, Natrona. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 45 years, John S. Malicki, who passed away on April 6, 2003, her brothers, Edward and Michael Kolwicz, her sisters, Marie Abate, Marcella "Tooky" Jenkins, Irene "Renee" Kreminski, and Eleanor "Ellie" DeAngelis, her niece, Carlotta Schrup, and her great-niece, Erica Walker. Survivors include her niece, Robin (Clark) Shoemaker of Natrona Heights, many other nieces and nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews, great-great nieces and great-great nephews, and her sister-in-law, Pat Kolwicz of Tarentum.
