Bernard “Bud” C. Comperatore

Age 88, of Lower Burrell, passed away Friday, October 7, 2022 at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital, Pittsburgh.  He was born on September 25, 1934 in Natrona Heights and was the son of the late Charles P. and Edith L. (Lloyd) Comperatore.  

Bud was a long-time resident of Lower Burrell.  He grew up in East Deer Township and attended East Deer-Frazer High School.  He was an Army Korean War veteran.  He worked as a welder at Ingalls Iron Works in Verona.  Bud was of Catholic faith.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.  He and his wife, Linda enjoyed traveling to their camp,  ‘Camp Linda’ in Penfield.

 In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his wife of 54 years, Linda M. (Kinney) Comperatore who passed away on January 9, 2015, his brothers, Charles “Chuck’' T. Comperatore and James Comperatore, and his sister, Shirley A. Golgan.  He is survived by his sister, Arlene Pavlik of Lower Burrell, sister-in-laws, Rebecca “Becky” (Paul) Budzak of Indiana Township, Irene Comperatore and Rose Comperatore, and several nieces and nephews.  

Relatives and friends will be received from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m., Thursday, October 13, 2022 in the Paul R. Ajak Funeral Home, Inc., 921 Freeport Road, Creighton, PA 15030 where services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday with the Rev.
