Donna E. (Bartruff) Smith

Age 93, formerly of Upper Burrell, passed away Thursday, June 25, 2020 at Belair Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, Lower Burrell.  Born on April 28, 1927 in Brownsville, she was the daughter of the late John and Nola (Smith) Bartruff.  She was a high school graduate of New Kensington-Arnold High School.  Donna was a longtime member of Bethel United Methodist Church, Lower Burrell and the Upper Burrell Fire Dept. Ladies Auxiliary. She enjoyed being a homemaker, crocheting and reading.  Survivors include her three children, Linda (Robert) Wilson of Upper Burrell, John Smith of Florida, and Bambi Nitowski of Natrona, eight grandchildren, and fifteen great-grandchildren.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred F. Smith, two brothers, Jack and Larry, a sister, Jean, and her son-in-law, Dennis Nitowski.  Services and burial in Greenwood Memorial Park, Lower Burrell will be private.
