Dorothy Misko
Age 81, of East Deer Township, passed away Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. Born on November 2, 1936 in Creighton, she was the daughter of the late Michael and Anna (Protz) Misko. Dorothy was a graduate of East Deer High School Class of 1954. She owned and operated her own beauty salon in Creighton. She also worked as a telephone operator for the Bell Telephone Company at the Tarentum, Springdale, Oakmont, and New Kensington locations. Dorothy was a lifetime member of St. Vladimir Catholic Church, Arnold until recently when she became a member of Holy Family Roman Catholic Church, Creighton. Dorothy enjoyed traveling to Las Vegas and Czechoslovakia with her sisters and liked to attend all of the family gatherings. Survivors include her cousins. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters; Mary Misko, Margaret Misko and Anna L. Misko. Family and friends will be received from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Thursday in the Paul R. Ajak Funeral Home, Inc., 921 Freeport Road, Creighton where parting prayers will begin at 9:30 a.m. Friday in the funeral home. A Christian Funeral Mass is at 10 a.m. Friday in Holy Family R.C. Church, 787 Freeport Road, Creighton. Burial will follow in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
