Age 91, formerly of Creighton, passed away on Thursday, August 30, 2018 at Platinum Ridge Center, Brackenridge. He was born in Tarentum on October 23, 1926 and was the son of the late Edward and Susan (Lucas) Dobrzynski. Ed was a 1944 graduate of Tarentum High School. He was a proud veteran of the Korean War, serving with the Army in Germany. Ed had worked at Pittsburgh Plate Glass Co., Creighton and Gulf Research, Harmarville, retiring in 1986. Ed also worked many years as a custodian at Holy Family Church. He was a member and an active volunteer at Holy Family R.C. Church, Creighton and it's Holy Name Society. He enjoyed bowling, playing Euchre, hunting, and was an avid coin collector. He is survived by his beloved wife of 65 years, Margaret (Sabolchak) Dobrzynski; his loving sons, Edward J. (Donna) Dobrzynski of Wexford and Richard “Rick” (Brenda) Dobrzynski of East Deer Twp. The family will receive friends Monday, September 3, 2018 from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME, INC. 921 Freeport Rd. Creighton, where a blessing service will be held Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10:00 a m. at Holy Family R.C. Church, officiating will be the Rev. Fr. Thomas L. Gillespie, M.D. Burial with military honors will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Lower Burrell. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests making a donation to the charity of your choice.
