Frank L. Sowinski
Age76, of Plum, formerly of Natrona, passed away Monday, Dec. 27, 2021, at his home. He was born Dec. 29, 1944, in Natrona Heights, and was the son of the late Stephen and Loretta (Kowalski) Sowinski.
Frank was a graduate of Har-Brack High School Class of 1962. He served as a staff sergeant in the Air Force during the Vietnam War. He retired from Ansaldo STS USA, formerly Union Switch and Signal, where he worked as a hardware engineer manager in the railroad industry. Frank was of Catholic faith. He was a member of the American Legion. Frank enjoyed watching his grandchildren play sports and was their biggest fan.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Isabel M. (Varona) Sowinski; daughter, Jennifer (Jon Paul) Vagnier, of New Kensington; son, David Sowinski (Terri), of Plum Borough; three grandchildren, Adriana, Joseph and Alex Vagnier; his brother, Joseph Sowinski; and two sisters, Geraldine (Jack) Pinkus and Bernadette (Ron) Clark. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Edward Sowinski and in infancy, Stephen Sowinski.
