Michael H. Stachowiak

Age 79 of Natrona, passed away on Monday, September 19, 2022 at UPMC St. Margaret Memorial Hospital, Pittsburgh. He was born on January 1, 1943 in Natrona and was the son of the late Roman “Ray Stack” and Henrietta (Falenski) Stachowiak. 

A 1960 graduate of Har-Brack High School, Michael studied at the University of Warsaw, St. Vincent's College, SS. Cyril and Methodius Seminary in Orchard Lake, and the University of Pittsburgh graduating with degrees in English literature and philosophy. He worked as a teacher and later in the restaurant industry. Mike enjoyed extensive European travel and throughout the United States. He was a member of Guardian Angels Parish, St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, Natrona, the Allegheny-Kiski Valley Historical Society, and Natrona Comes Together.

Survivors include his sister, Helen Strzesieski of Tarentum, many dear nieces, nephews, and the numerous lifelong friends he met from his travels. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Theresa L. Zylinski, Delores Martin, Rose Marie Graff, and Dr. Edward Stachowiak, M.D.  

No Visitation. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, September 27, 2022 at 10 a.m. in St. Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, 48 Spruce Street, Natrona. Burial will be private.
