Nadine K. “Dena” Rhoades
Age 68, of Natrona, passed away Wednesday, October 6, 2021, at UPMC St. Margaret Hospital. Pittsburgh. She was born May 19, 1953, in Natrona Heights, and was the daughter of the late Joseph C. and Sophie K. (Kachanuk) Rhoades.
Nadine was a graduate of Highlands High School. She worked at several retail locations as a sales clerk in Natrona and the former Bambi's Daycare Center in Natrona. She was a member of St. John's Lutheran Church. She loved animals, crocheting, reading and traveling. Nadine and her best friend, Karen Penn, ventured on many road trips together. Nadine treasured spending time with her nieces and nephews and walking around town with them. Their dear Aunt Dena would also like to photograph and video during their walks together. She was quick to tell a story and known for talent in doing so.
Survivors include her nieces and nephews, Antionette K. (David) Brooks, of Buffalo Township, Tracy M. (David) Blevins, of Springfield, Ohio, Joseph H. (Julia) McIntyre, of Springfield, Ohio, and Jarrod D. (Mandy) McIntyre, of Natrona Heights; and several beloved great-nieces and -nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her sisters, Antionette Rhoades and Patricia McIntyre.
Friends will be received from 9 to 11 a.m. Friday, Oct. 8, 2021, in the PAUL R. AJAK FUNERAL HOME INC., 2 Pine St. and River Avenue, Natrona. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Friday in the Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Mt. Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
