Paula M. (Nitowski) Rusiewicz

Age 63, of Natrona, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, September 22, 2021.  She was born on October 18, 1957 in Natrona Heights and was the daughter of the late Leonard A. and Elizabeth J. (Companion) Nitowski.  Paula was a 1975 graduate of Highlands High School.  She was a member of Saint Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church of Guardian Angels Parish.  Paula worked as a nursing assistant for several years at the former Family House in Natrona.  She enjoyed taking care of animals and cared for many stray animals.  Paula loved her family and her pride and joy were her grandchildren.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 43 years, Robert L. “Rue” Rusiewicz who passed away on October 1, 2016.  Survivors include a son, Jason (Jennifer) Rusiewicz of Lower Burrell and a daughter, Kristen Rusiewicz of Tarentum, three grandchildren, Ava Rusiewicz, Ryan Rusiewicz, and Evan Stewart, her brother, Leonard Edward (Mandy) Nitowski of Allegheny Township, and her sisters, Deborah J. (Bruce) Coffman of Sarver and Cynthia Ann (Michael) Baczynski of Washington Township.

Relatives and friends will be received Monday from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Paul R. Ajak Funeral Home, Inc., 2 Pine Street and River Avenue, Natrona.  A Mass of Christian Burial for Paula is on Tuesday, September 28, 2021 at 10 a.m. in Saint Ladislaus Roman Catholic Church, 48 Spruce Street, Natrona. Everyone please meet at the church. Burial will be private in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protectors of Allegheny Valley, 730 Church Street, New Kensington, PA 15068.
