Raymond Patrick Mehal

Age 57, of Delmont, PA, passed away after a brief illness at UPMC East on Tuesday, November 9, 2021. Ray was born on January 31, 1964 in New Kensington and the son of the late Robert R. and Charlene L. (Eversole) Mehal.  Ray is survived by his brother, Robert (Tracy) Mehal of Sarver, PA, his sister, Laura Becker of Oakdale, PA, nephews, Robert (Jessica) Mehal of Middletown, NY, Andrew and Kevin Becker, a niece, Sarah Becker, all of Oakdale, PA,  and his great-nephews, Maximus, Coleton, and Lincoln Mehal of Middleton, NY.  He was a step-uncle to Erika, Zachary, and Michael Mazur.  Ray also leaves behind his cherished friend, Cheryl Trischler and his tiny beloved Morkie, Sophie. Ray was a graduate of Madison Central High School in Old Bridge, New Jersey. 

For many years, he worked in retail and food management. Ray was an avid woodworker, gardener, and landscaper, and continued these pursuits even after becoming an amputee. Ray loved "the Burgh' and its sports teams. He loved attending Pittsburgh Pirates and Penguin games, and adding to his sports memorabilia collection. 

Family and friends will be received from 8:45 a.m. to 9:45 a.m. Saturday, November 13, 2021 in the Paul R. Ajak Funeral Home, Inc., 2 Pine Street and River Avenue, Natrona, PA 15065.  A blessing service will begin at 9:45 a.m. Saturday in the funeral home.  Burial will follow in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
