Ronald F. “Vishy” Wisniewski
Age 78, of Natrona Heights, passed away on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Allegheny Valley Hospital, Natrona Heights. He was born July 30, 1943 in Natrona and was the son of the late Zigmunt F. “Cherries” and Mary S. (Walkowiak) Wisniewski.
Vishy graduated from HarBrack High School Class of 1961. After his high school graduation, Ron moved from Natrona to Chicago for a couple of years to study electronics. He studied and earned a degree from the DeVry Technical Institute in Chicago, Associate Degree in Applied Science in Electronic Technology in 1963. He served in the Army during the Vietnam War. After the war, Ron resettled back in Natrona. While working at Allegheny Ludlum during the day, he completed night classes at Community College of Allegheny County, Associate Degree in Arts in 1974, and the University of Pittsburgh, Bachelor of Arts majoring in Business Administration in 1984. Ron was a supervisor at Allegheny Ludlum Steel Corporation in Brackenridge where he retired after many years. He was of Catholic faith. Ron was a member of the Polish National Alliance Group 599, Kosciuszko Polish Patriotic and American Legion Post 48 all in Natrona. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and was an avid Pitt football and basketball and Steelers fan. Ron also liked playing euchre at the American Legion Post 48, bowling with the PNA and watching old western television series. Ron was his own handyman and contractor when he built his home in “Ducktown” West Natrona in 1985.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his son, Michael A. Wisniewski, and three sisters, Marie Pawlak, Helen Bachar, and Elaine Craft. Survivors include his two daughters, Renea (Ron) Ehrlich of Natrona and Lori Wisniewski of Natrona, grandchildren, Natalie (Jonathan) Stine of Spokane, Washington, Nathan Ehrlich (fiancée, Katie Pesci) of Lower Burrell, Jordan Ehrlich (fiancée, Jessica Cousins) of Natrona, Kaitlyn Gardone of Natrona, Julia Gardone of Natrona, and Ashley of Freeport, two great-granddaughters and two great-grandsons.
Relatives and friends will be received from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. on Friday, January 14, 2022 in the Paul R. Ajak Funeral Home, Inc., 2 Pine Street, Natrona, where a parting prayer will be held on Saturday at 9:30 a.m. followed by a Christian Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. in Guardian Angels Parish in Saint Ladislaus R.C. Church, 48 Spruce Street, Natrona. Burial with military honors will follow in Mount Airy Cemetery, Natrona Heights.
